สังคมต้องการคนกล้า ไม่ใช่บ้าอำนาจ

ในฐานะผู้หนึ่งที่คร่ำหวอดอยู่ในวงการมานาน แต่ยังไม่นานเกินไปจนให้ความสำคัญกับฐานเสียงมากกว่าอุดมการณ์ อดไม่ได้ที่จะแสดงความเห็นต่อบทความ “ดำรงค์ พิเดช ผลงานหนึ่งปียิ่งลักษณ์” ในหน้า 3 เดลินิวส์ฉบับเช้าวันอังคารที่ 7 สิงหาคม แน่นอนผมคงต้องเคารพความเห็นของท่านทั้งหลายที่ออกมาร่วมกันปกป้องท่านอธิบดี ไม่ว่าแต่ละท่านจะมีเจตนาอย่างไร ต้องขออนุญาตชี้ให้เห็นว่า การวิเคราะห์ผลงานของใครก็ตามจะมองโดยผิวเผินคงไม่ได้ ต้องมองที่เจตนาด้วย ไม่เช่นนั้นเราก็จะตกเป็นเหยื่อของพวกที่ทำงานเอาหน้าเพื่อผลประโยชน์ทางการเมืองตามนโยบายประชานิยมเหมือนที่ผ่านมา ทุกวันนี้เราก็มีอดีตอธิบดีกรมเดียวกันที่เคยอนุมัติส่งเสือไทยไปตายเมืองจีนทีเดียวเป็นร้อยตัวได้เป็นรัฐมนตรีอยู่คนหนึ่งแล้ว ถามว่าสังคมจะได้อะไรบ้างจากการปกป้องอธิบดีกรมอุทยานแห่งชาติที่กำลังจะเกษียณอายุ แล้วออกมาโชว์ผลงานเพื่อตำแหน่งการเมือง ? เราเคยถามตัวเองหรือไม่ว่า หลายสิบปีที่อยู่ในราชการทำไมไม่มีผลงาน ? ความเข้มงวดที่เห็นมีผลประโยชน์แอบแฝงหรือไม่ ? จากประสบการณ์ของผมความเข้มงวดของราชการมักตามมาด้วยผลประโยชน์ใต้โต๊ะเสมอ มีใครติดตามตรวจสอบหรือไม่ ? วงการอนุรักษ์ของไทยจะได้อะไร หากอธิบดีคนต่อไปไม่สานต่อความเข้มงวดในการบังคับใช้กฎหมาย แต่กลับสืบสานความลุแก่อำนาจ ? สังคมจะได้อะไรหากอธิบดีที่ขาดคุณธรรมได้กลายเป็นรัฐมนตรี ? สังคมต้องการคนกล้า ไม่ใช่คนบ้าอำนาจ ! หรือเราอยากเห็นสัตว์ป่าของกลางต้องตายตกไปเหมือนชาวบ้านเมื่อครั้งรัฐประกาศสงครามกับยาบ้า ? เอ็นจีโอและสื่อมวลชนที่สนับสนุนพร้อมจะรับผิดชอบหรือไม่ ? หากตอบว่า พร้อม ช่วยออกมาชุบชีวิตช้างและสัตว์ป่าที่ตายหลังจากถูกกรมอุทยานฯยึดไปด้วย !!

It is only a few years ago that in a war on drugs officials took the law into their own hands with over 2000 (mostly) innocent victims, here no one got killed (yet) but the idea is the same. Most of the NGO’s signing the letter for the man to stay in office run projects within National Park areas and have no other choice to sign or be evicted, while some of these NGO’s are run by the same officials in their boards and have little or no work to show but are merely “meeting room foundations”.

We need heros with guts to protect wildlife and nature in Thailand, no crazy men playing games blinded by power-madness!
